Building a HomeWorld for the World Wide Web
Step-by-step, you can build up your Web Presence in the following manner:
- Secure your Internet access
- Gather the Web site content - things like:
- Product pictures and datasheets
- Catalogs
- Notebooks
- Brochures
- Art
- Newsletter articles
- Make a choice on the HTML extensions you plan to support.

- Layout its design for navigation
- Spatial layout on various pages
- Order of Site layout - page to page navigation
- In-line layout - item by item navigation on the same page
- Be polite with images - give small preview images of large images for
voluntary retrevial
- Match branches in pages to branches in ideas
- Keep pages short
- Establish your own look for your Web Presence
- Test it
- Install it on a stand-alone Web Server on a PC/Macintosh/UNIX box
- Look at it with every Web Browser you expect to be used on it
- Evaluate its effectiveness
